Prophet Mohammed’s biography PBUH

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was the last prophet sent to mankind. He was a man of every good quality. He was a man of patience, and kind. He is a leader for all Muslims from the time of his prophethood until now.If you want to understand about Islam, one of the biggest and fastest-growing religions in the world, you need to know who Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is. Muslims call him “Mohammed PBUH” (peace be upon him), and they believe he is the last prophet sent by  (Allah) to lead people. His life, personality, teachings, and legacy still have an impact on billions of people around the world.

I will outline here the whole biography of prophet (Mohammed PBUH) at his early life, his time as a prophet, his challenges, his successes, and the lasting effects he had on human civilization.

The Early Life of prophet Mohammed PBUH

 Birth and Family Tree

Prophet Mohammed PBUH  was born in 570 CE in Mecca, a city on the Arabian Peninsula (now Saudi Arabia). People often call this year the “Year of the Elephant,” which was an important event in Arabian history.

He was a member of the respected Quraysh tribe, specifically the Banu Hashim clan. His family tree goes back to Prophet Ibrahim through his son Ismail (Ishmael).

Being an orphan and a child

It was hard for our prophet Muhammad PBUH to start his life. His father, Abdullah, died before he was born, and his mother, Aminah, died when he was just six years old. His grandfather, Abdul Muttalib, took care of him after that, and then his uncle, Abu Talib, took care of him.

These early experiences made Mohammed PBUH a kind and humble person who was very sensitive of the problems that poor and weak people face.

Character and Reputation Before Becoming a Prophet

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was a good person in his youth, whom everyone saw. He was loved by the people of Mecca.a lot of people already knew that prophet Mohammed PBUH was honest, trustworthy, and had high morals. People in Mecca called him “Al-Amin,” which means “the trustworthy.” He was a merchant and was recognized for being honest, fair, and ethical in his business dealings. These traits made his message more believable later on.

  • Getting married to Khadijah (RA)

    When prophet PBUHwas 25, he married Khadijah bint Khuwaylid (RA), a noble and prosperous businesswoman who was 15 years older than he was. They loved, respected, and helped each other a lot in their marriage.

    Khadijah (RA) was very important in our prophet’s life PBUH. She was the first person to believe in his prophethood and helped him emotionally and financially during the early years of Islam.

    The Start of Prophethood

     The First Revelation

    When our prophet PBUH was 40, he  regularly went to the Cave of Hira* to think and meditate. The Angel Jibreel (Gabriel) gave him the first revelation in the year 610 CE.

    The first Ayah that were revealed was:  (Iqra bismi rabikalladii khalaqqa) and it means
    “Read in the name of your Lord who made…”
    This was the start of his prophethood as the “final messenger of Allah.”


    The Message of Islam

    The message that prophet Mohammad PBUH conveyed was about:

     Belief in one Allah (God),  Not worshiping idols, Fairness and justice, Caring for the impoverished and oppressed, Doing the right thing.

    His teachings stressed that **everyone is equal**, no matter what their race, wealth, or status is.



    Opposing and Persecuting in Mecca

    When Mohammed PBUH started teaching Islam in public, Meccan leaders were quite against it because they thought the idea of monotheism was a threat.

    Muslims were made fun of and humiliated,Boycotted in social settings, Tortured physically,Cut off from economic opportunities.

    Even though he went through a lot of trouble, our prophet scw stayed patient, forgiving, and strong.

    The Year of Sorrow
    The year **619 CE** is regarded as the **Year of Sorrow** because it was the year that our prophet PBUH lost two of his most important people:
     His wife, Khadijah (RA) and His uncle, Abu Talib.
    This time was hard on his faith and strength, but he kept going with his purpose with unbreakable will.

    The Night Journey and Ascension (Isra and Mi’raj)

    The Isra and Mi’raj  is one of his greatest miracles that happened in our prophet’s life PBUH. He was transported from Mecca to kuds in one night, and then he went up through the Samaa.
    This occurrence made him more spiritually powerful and made the five daily prayers a vital part of Islam.

Moving to Medina (Hijrah)

In 622 CE, Prophet Mohammed PBUH moved from Mecca to Medina because he was in more and more danger. The Hijrah is the name of this exodus, which marks the start of the Islamic calendar.

In Medina, Prophet Mohammed PBUH built the first mosque, Brought together different tribes and Made a constitution that guarantees justice and religious freedom.



Going back to Medina

In 630 CE Prophet Mohameed Scw went back to Mecca with a lot of people. He chose forgiveness instead of revenge and offered a general amnesty to all of his erstwhile foes.
This moment is one of the best instances of mercy and leadership in all of history.

The Last Sermon of our prophet Mohammed PBUH

During his last trip, Prophet Mohammed PBUH gave his “Farewell Sermon,” which summed up the main ideas of Islam:
Respect for life and property, Equality of all individuals, Rights of women and Brotherhood among believers and these lessons are still very important today.



The Death of Mohammed ppuh

Prophet Mohammed PPUH died in 632 CE in Medina at the age of 63. His death ended his role as a prophet, but not his message.
He was laid to rest in his wife’s room, which was next to the Prophet’s Mosque.
 

After prophet Mohammed PBUH

Islam spread to other continents and messages of Islam entered to every where.
Today, more than 1.9 billion Muslims try to live like him and follow his teachings and that is the effective of prophet’s message PPUH.

Words alone cannot tell the whole tale of who Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is. The life of our prophet PBUH shows how important it is to be patient, have faith, be merciful, and always tell the truth.
